Just like any proton cars, my car window finally came to its destiny. I was on the way to church for musicians' practise. After the toll, as I wind up my window, I heard something broke. I wind down again, and the rest was history. It was drizzling, good thing it wasn't pouring. Almost 9pm, I quickly drove back to PJ hoping to search for any car accessories shop that is open. Silly me, who would want to open at this hour. I was going around UPTOWN. As expected, no shops open. And I was driving home, behold, an accessory shops for car that is still wide open. I was glad. The guy told me normal hours they will close at about 8pm unless there are lots of work to do. So happen, tonight there is work to do that's why they were opened.
Take a look at my car window, told me the device that move the glass up and down is spoilt. Boss told him no more stock. I was devastated coz he's going to just stuff 1 piece of folded paper temporary coz I could see he was in a hurry to go home. I asked the boss, "No stock ar?". To my surprise, he said to me, "I am very sure there is no more stock, but I am going to try to search for you." As he went up to the store, I prayed "Lord, I pray that there is one more last piece for me." I even pictured that he came down and told me I was lucky that night that there is a last piece standing in his store.
Finally he came down, and guess what? What I pictured in my prayer earlier happen exactly in front of my very own eyes. " I dunno what luck you have but I was pretty sure there was no more, but I found this one last piece." The boss said to me. I was in awe. This is like express delivery of answered prayer. The second part came to my mind. It almost end of the month. My finance is running low and I didn't really want to swap my card as I am trying hard to clear my debt. I asked the guy how much would that cost. He told me RM80. Sigh there goes my petrol money. I thought to myself that I will have no choice but to use my petrol money to pay for this and then swap the card for petrol pumping. I said another prayer to God, I really don't want to spend the money if possible.
The guy started to dismantle everything. Soon he found out that the extra stock could not fit my Proton Wira because the shape of the gear was different. Then miraculously, the spoilt gear started to work but not too well though. He told me that he will fix back the old one and use it temporarily. It was not strong enough to work normally, so after pushing the glass up with the gear and some manual pushing, he fixed two metal brackets onto my car window to make it stay there permanently. The cost of the whole thing that night is only RM15. My goodness, 2 prayers answered in less than an hour that night.
Even before my second prayer, God has planned it that I would not need to pay for that RM80. You see, have not the boss suddenly offered to look for me in the store room even though he was pretty sure there was no more stock for the window gear, I would have went home with a piece of ugly thick paper stuffed at my window not mentioning the risk of the glass dropping down is for sure. Now, have not suddenly there was one more last and only piece gear in the store, the worker would not have dismantle everything and discover that my old window gear actually still working. And if the new window gear could fit my Wira, I would have need to pay the RM80 which I do not want to. But it didn't fit. And plus to that, they even secured my windows with metal brackets instead of a piece of paper. Well, I guess could live without me winding down my window until I have the extra cash to fix it. After all, it only cost me 15 bucks instead of 80 bucks.
After all that has happened, I felt so surreal but still acknowledge that God is good and help me out in this little situation. A reminder to me that He's always around if we only would ask.
Come to think of it, a car accessory shop open at that hour. Was it coincidence? Maybe. Or was it Divine Intervention?
