Conversation with God(Reprised)

Wrote this last year. Thought it's nice, so I repost it here:

God : Can't you love me just like the way you loved her? Like the way you romance with her everyday? Do you really love me?

Adam : Yes, I love you, Lord.
God : You spend so much time with her and talking to her, yet you have never even bother to say a prayer to me before you close your eyes. I was eagerly waiting for you after you finished talking to her, but you were just too tired and went to sleep.
Adam : ...
God : Did you noticed the rainbow I made for you after the rain this morning? That cool gentle breeze I blew which embraces your face just now in the hot afternoon?
Adam : No...

God : You placed her so much higher than me.
Adam : Lord, you are just being jealous.

God : Aren't you jealous when she is close with other guys? I can see your heart break into pieces whenever she is close to other guys. You didn't tell her, did you? Because you don't want to affect her. You endured the pain. She will only comes to you when she is lonely or there is problem. You know that very well, Adam. You too are just like her, when you needed ME, then you will come to me. Everyday, you are afraid that you will lose her to someone else.

Adam : .... (silence)
God : The way she treats you? That was the exact way you treated Me. If you were to feel jealous, how much more, I the LORD of Heavens and the Earth who created you and call you by my Name? Who knows you even before you were born? I who count the strains of your hair, who was there in your every silent tears that you had. The One who knows you inside out. Don't I have the right to be jealous when you have other idols in your life?

Adam : (dropped to his knees and bowed his head) Lord, forgive me.
God : Let her go... she can't satisfy you. I am the living water. Only I can satisfy your needs. I will complete you.

Adam : Then, God let me be the one who seek your face O God of Abraham and Jacob.
God : My child, you are always dear to me and I love you. No matter how much you've strayed away, and how much hurt you have cost me, even death on the Cross, I will still love you.... come to me now......you need to be healed and rest.

God : Hush...be still and know that I am God.

Family Camp

It's 4 something in the morning and I am here at the data centre. Dang, forgot to bring my jacket and it's freaking cold in the server room. There's some connectivity issue with the server and my colleague is fixing it. Oh well, that's life if your work revolves around live servers 24/7.

Just came back from Agape's Family Camp in Pines Resort, Fraser's Hill. Went up a day earlier after work on Thursday evening with Ray, Henry and Charissa. The unexpected came when I had to ask Ray to stop the car. Yeah, I puked. Thanks to Ray's driving. Charissa and Henry nearly, but I saved them by stopping the car to puke. It was no good, I was dizzy the whole night thereafter, even though Alex prepared nice BBQ sausages and beef for us. I just couldn't eat. Later, we went to the town centre to do the countdown with the locals there at the Clock Tower. It was quite happening.

The news of Eric puking somehow got to the entire church the next day when each family came up to the hill top. When they arrived, "Eric, you puked ar?". I wonder who the broadcaster was. The dizzy spell lasted for about 1 full day. Yeah, I know, I am weak. Haha. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the cool weather and the camp. It was more relaxing this year as there were lesser activities. Got the chance to taste a scone from the Smoke House. Nice ambiance. Birds chirping everywhere and very English-like settings. Auntie Audrey and Uncle Peter in smoke house.

Ray and I were given the privilege to plan for the Amazing Race. We believe the adults did enjoy themselves though it was tiring for some of them. This is like only 50% or less than what we normally do for youth camps. Hehe.

Apart from mangosteens, langsat and durian sessions, what I brought back from this camp is to go back to my basic and of course the theme has been ringing out loud, Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you. I guess the theme could speak for itself.
Scones from Smoke House and me walking back from Fraser's Town.
