Lunch @ La Fite.

In due with the celebration Warren's birthday and Jek's double-whammy. The whole company decided to have our buffet lunch at La Fite(pronounced as La Fit), Shangrila KL. It was a pleasant fine dining experience I must say. Managed to take some photos through my phone. Lighting there was a bit dim so the quality of the photos are not good. Nevertheless, here they are:

The lunch started off with free-flow appetizer which are served at the oval-shaped "bar". There were many choices with tasty appetizer replenished all the time.

Here are some samples of the appetizers. Can't show you all.

Salmon wrapped sandwich, blue container is caviar.

The photo above i thought at first is egg yolk. It's called mango-lychee shot. Nice.

This is just ice water. If you were to order any fruit juices, it would have cost you about RM22 per drink. No refills.

The above is my main course. It's a lamb dish. I can't really
describe the taste but it's good. Reminds me like the cartoon in ratatouille. A combination of flavour. LOL. That's the slowest meal I have probably ever eaten to savour the food.

The dish above is beef stew. Tender.

Finally, dessert was served. The progression to eat the dessert recommended by the chef is rather interesting. Have eat the dessert from right to left. First one was green tea ice cream with cookies, second from the left taste chocolaty and it's warm, the middle one is a strawberry, can't remember what's the 4th one and last one is marshmellow.

Meal ended with a cup of coffee or tea which completes the day. Some will opt to go back to the appetizer bar to grab some really huge strawberries / grapes for some fruity flavour to end their meal. Some will feel that it's not enough and will make a comeback on the appetizer. Hehe.

I took a look at the ala carte menu for dinner. A 6 course meal cost about RM600++ per person and a 12 course meal cost about RM900++ per person. It's called the Ultimate Experience.

So, there you go. The buffet lunch cost about RM80++ per head and only valid on weekdays if you thought of dropping by. Make sure you make reservations first to avoid disappointment.

Signing off.
